Ottawa, Ohio (AP) - A worker at a tomato canning factory in northwest Ohio has died following an Industrial accident.
Putnam County Sheriff Jim Beutler says the man was working on a new machine when it malfunctioned yesterday at the Hirzel Canning Company in Ottawa.
Nicacio Garcia of Ottawa was trapped in the machine and later pronounced dead at St. Rita’s Ambulatory Care Center in Glandorf.
The sheriff says it’s not clear what caused the accident.
