Pedestrian Struck By Train

Bryan, Oh – On Sunday May 1st at 10:49 PM, Williams County Central Dispatch received a call from Norfolk & Southern Railroad reference to a pedestrian being struck by an eastbound train at the grade crossing located on CR-8.50, ½ mile north of CR-J.
Deputies responded to the scene and found that a pedestrian had been struck by the Norfolk & Southern train.  Williams County Coroner Dr. Kevin Park also responded to the scene, the pedestrian died at the scene from the injuries sustained in this incident.
The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time; the investigation is ongoing by the Williams County Coroner and the Williams County Sheriff’s Office.
The Williams County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Williams County Coroner, Williams County EMS, Montpelier Police Department and the Norfolk & Southern Railroad Police.
