Discussions on wind and solar power, solar thermal systems, biomass technologies, and energy-efficient home designs will highlight an energy workshop July 21 at the Toledo Zoo’s Nairobi Pavilion.

State and local officials are to discuss homeowner aspects of Gov. Ted Strickland’s energy plan. The event, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., costs $20 to $35 depending upon residency and other factors. Sponsors are Green Energy Ohio, a statewide organization, and the Ohio Department of Development’s Office of Energy Efficiency.
