4th Graders to Get Free Tickets to Ohio State Fair COLUMBUS, Ohio
(AP) - Kids just out of the fourth grade will get in free to this year's Ohio
State Fair so they can learn about agriculture.
Fair manager Virgil Strickler tells The Columbus Dispatch the program is meant
to show children where their food comes from.
To receive the free one-day admission, a child will have to present a
fourth-grade report card at the fair entrance. An accompanying adult also will
get a free ticket.
Fair officials expect other, paying relatives will come along and that the
families will spend on food and rides, so they say they're not concerned about
lost income at the ticket booth.
The fair also has announced more of this year's concert lineup, including an
appearance by pop music sensation Ke$ha.
